This book concerns Edward Crosland of Old Cheraw District (South Carolina), his wife, Ann Snead Crosland, their fourteen children, and their numerous descendants. The original home of the family was in Yorkshire, England; in America the family settled in Marlboro County, South Carolina. The book contains a chapter each on the descendants of each of the children of Edward and Ann Snead Crosland (Temperance, John, Mary, Sarah, Samuel, Israel, Elizabeth Hope, Daniel Martin, Rebecca, George, David, Philip, Ann, and William); a chapter on the parents of Ann Snead (Samuel and Temperance Beaufort Snead); and appendixes with information on families (McLaurin, Weatherly, Throop, Dana, Boone, Ricaud, Faison, DeLa Ward, Harraden, and MaCra) which married into the Crosland line.
